If you’ve been to a wedding in the last 30 years or so, then it’s likely you’ve heard Pachelbel’s lovely Canon in D. And little wonder: this piece – one of the gems of the Baroque era – says so much so beautifully with such an economy of means.

In the video above, a string quartet has some fun with this iconic work.
